This is 100% toquilla straw with a cotton sweatband. Weaving a panama body requires skill and patience, each hat body takes anywhere from 8-10 hours to weave by a single weaver. Panama straw is weather resistant and provides natural UV protection.
We press our 100% wool hat bodies here in North County San Diego and finish them in house by sewing in the sweatband, adjustable band and dressing the hat bands to the exterior.
